Mas h\u00e1 uma bateria de l\u00edtio que carrega mais depressa do que o caf\u00e9, dura d\u00e9cadas mais do que o carro e n\u00e3o se incendeia, mesmo que se lhe espete um prego.<\/p><p>Chama-se <strong>bateria de titanato de l\u00edtio (LTO)<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Apesar das suas especifica\u00e7\u00f5es impressionantes - mais de 25 000 ciclos, carregamento em 6 minutos e funcionamento seguro entre -40\u00b0C e 60\u00b0C - o LTO continua a ser um operador de nicho. Porqu\u00ea? Duas raz\u00f5es: menor densidade de energia e custo inicial mais elevado. Mas em aplica\u00e7\u00f5es em que a seguran\u00e7a, a longevidade e o desempenho a temperaturas extremas s\u00e3o mais importantes do que o alcance, o LTO est\u00e1 a ganhar discretamente.<\/p><p>Neste artigo, vamos eliminar o jarg\u00e3o e mostrar-lhe exatamente como funciona o LTO, onde se destaca e se as vantagens e desvantagens fazem sentido para o seu pr\u00f3ximo c\u00e1todo, as baterias de titanato de l\u00edtio recebem o nome do seu material de \u00e2nodo - titanato de l\u00edtio (Li\u2084Ti\u2085O\u2081\u2082). Esta escolha \u00fanica de \u00e2nodo confere \u00e0s baterias LTO as suas carater\u00edsticas distintivas.<\/p><p>Uma bateria LTO utiliza titanato de l\u00edtio (Li\u2084Ti\u2085O\u2081\u2082) como \u00e2nodo, que tem um potencial de el\u00e9trodo de aproximadamente 1,55 V vs. Li\u207a\/Li. A tens\u00e3o nominal da bateria depende do material do c\u00e1todo emparelhado com ela.<\/p><p>Por exemplo, o emparelhamento de LTO com c\u00e1todo de \u00f3xido de l\u00edtio e mangan\u00eas (LMO) produz uma tens\u00e3o nominal de cerca de 2,4 V, enquanto o emparelhamento com c\u00e1todo de fosfato de l\u00edtio e ferro (LFP) produz cerca de 1,9 V.
