Uma vez que a densidade dos s\u00f3lidos \u00e9 muito superior \u00e0 dos l\u00edquidos, a densidade energ\u00e9tica das baterias de estado s\u00f3lido \u00e9, pelo menos, o dobro da das baterias de i\u00f5es de l\u00edtio l\u00edquidas. Uma vez danificada a bateria devido a for\u00e7as externas, \u00e9 f\u00e1cil perder o controlo da temperatura sob a influ\u00eancia de um curto-circuito e de temperaturas elevadas, acabando por provocar fumo, inc\u00eandio ou mesmo explos\u00e3o da bateria.<\/p><p>Os electr\u00f3litos das baterias de estado s\u00f3lido s\u00e3o pol\u00edmeros, \u00f3xidos, sulfuretos, resist\u00eancia a altas temperaturas, resist\u00eancia \u00e0 corros\u00e3o, n\u00e3o s\u00e3o f\u00e1ceis de volatilizar e, basicamente, n\u00e3o h\u00e1 risco de combust\u00e3o espont\u00e2nea. Perante um mercado t\u00e3o vasto, todos os pa\u00edses est\u00e3o a planear ativamente aproveitar a oportunidade.<\/p><p>H\u00e1 trinta anos, o Laborat\u00f3rio Nacional de Oak Ridge, nos Estados Unidos, afirmou ter criado uma bateria de estado s\u00f3lido, mas infelizmente n\u00e3o conseguiu atingir a produ\u00e7\u00e3o em massa at\u00e9 \u00e0 data. Nos \u00faltimos dois anos, com a popularidade dos novos ve\u00edculos de energia no mundo, as empresas t\u00eam relatado repetidamente o progresso da produ\u00e7\u00e3o em massa de baterias de estado s\u00f3lido. Por detr\u00e1s do mercado de baterias de estado s\u00f3lido, existem ainda muitas defici\u00eancias que n\u00e3o podem ser ignoradas.<\/p><p>A produ\u00e7\u00e3o em massa de baterias de estado s\u00f3lido enfrenta muitos desafios, tais como problemas de materiais, problemas de interface e problemas de engenharia. \u00c9 tamb\u00e9m um obst\u00e1culo dif\u00edcil para os fabricantes de baterias, porque o custo atual das baterias semi-s\u00f3lidas \u00e9 muito mais elevado do que o das baterias l\u00edquidas comerciais.<\/p><p>De acordo com a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e os c\u00e1lculos da ind\u00fastria, tomando como exemplos as pilhas l\u00edquidas NCM811 e as pilhas semi-s\u00f3lidas NCM811, o custo das pilhas semi-s\u00f3lidas \u00e9 cerca de 80% superior ao das pilhas l\u00edquidas.
